About Us

REFLEXICONS are an initiative of the Democratic Platform , a project of the Fernando Henrique Cardoso Foundation, and of the Edelstein Center, which has a partnership with Democracia en Red in Argentina .

We develop research and publications focusing on the challenges that social transformations pose to coexistence and democratic governance. The Democratic Platform also develops applied projects that promote the democratic learning of citizenship, particularly in the virtual public space, fostering a civic culture that values ​​arguments based on verifiable information and respect for pluralism of views. We have published “Beyond fake news: A strategy for de-polarizing and promoting dialogue in the networks”, a manual on how fake news works and developed a school education text to promote autonomous thinking: "Hearts and minds: Outside and inside the Internet".
